Sweet Fire: Yoga Day Retreat with Sarah Beale - 4th April

  • Wellnes Sanctuary 32A Main Street Napier, Hawke's Bay, 4110 New Zealand (map)

" Strong emotions such as passion and bliss are indications that you're connected to Spirit, or 'inspired,' if you will. When you're inspired, you activate dormant forces, and the abundance you seek in any form comes streaming into your life. " - Dr Wayne Dyer

ASHTANGA YOGA // PRANAYAMA // MEDITATION // DELICIOUS HIGH VITALITY FOOD // CREATIVITY // ESSENTIAL OIL BLENDING SESSION // YIN YOGA & REIKI (BLISS NFUSION) with Sarah & Elizabeth

As the seasons turn cooler, it is wise to stoke the inner fire, to raise our agni (digestive fire), boost our immunity, to increase our vigor, determination and willpower at all levels of our existence. A healthy inner fire is balanced- it gives us the sparkle in our eyes, the glow of enthusiasm for life itself and is harmonized with a sweetness of joyful beingness. Sweet Fire.

The day is structured in a beautiful routine to help you ride your natural waves and peaks of energy, and increase your overall feeling of bliss from start to finish! We start the day with Ashtanga yoga, a traditional and ancient practice of Asana (yogic postures) and Ujayi (victory) breath, with immense physical and therapeutic benefits, increasing the life-force (prana) of the body. We then move into Pranayama (breathwork) for heat and balanced emotions, meditation for clarity of the mind, delicious nutritious breakfast, lunch and dessert with workshops, essential oil blending and journalling in between, and top it all of with a restorative Yin yoga and Reiki session at the finish- Perfection!

What is Reiki?
Sarah Beale will guide you through your afternoon Yin practice while she and Reiki Practitioner Elizabeth Dunn beam healing Reiki energy around the room and to each individual in the room.

Reiki means 'Universal Loving Energy' and is channeled through the hands of the practitioner towards the receiver. Reiki can never harm. It always goes exactly where it needs to go for each person. You will feel very relaxed and may even fall asleep in the class. Some people experience visions or insights. Everyone experiences something different.

About your facilitators:
Sarah Beale is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga teacher, teaching intuitvely and sensitively from a base of Ashtanga, Yin and Vinyasa, her style stemming from her own exploratory practice.

She fell in love with yoga for the spiritual journey, it's constant evolution & its therapeutic, energy shifting potency. She has practiced Ashtanga for the last 7 years, started teaching in 2014 and trained with Gregor Maehle & Monica Gauci from 8 Limbs Yoga.

She also teaches Pregnancy yoga having trained with Dr Pooja Maddela in Auckland.

Sarah is dedicated to self-inquiry and personal/spiritual growth, always learning something new which she loves to share. She teaches with compassion, warmth and humour, adapting each class, no matter what the style, to the students who are present in the room.

Sarah is also passionate about Ayurveda, Herbal remedies, Aromatherapy and anything which assists the body to heal itself

Sarah and her partner, massage therapist Alex Feaseymoved from Auckland to Napier in January 2017 to pursue a more relaxed way to live. The opportunity to practice with her teacher, Peter Sanson was one of the big draw-cards for Sarah to move to Napier. They now have a baby boy and raise him here at the Wellness Sanctuary which is also their home.

She loves pouring her creative energy into, and holding space for the community at the Wellness Sanctuary. As well as teaching many of the yoga classes at the Wellness Sanctuary, Sarah organizes workshops & events, facilitating Ecstatic Dance and offering Reiki treatments.

About Elizabeth Dunn:
Elizabeth Dunn is affectionately known as 'the Spiritual Midwife' and is a devoted Reiki Practitioner and Yogini. She is very excited about sharing the magic and potency of Reiki with you.
