Join us for this one off adventure within with a specially crafted BLINDFOLD YOGA session led by Sarah Beale (yogini master and Wellness Sanctuary studio owner) and YOGA NIDRA with Kate McLeay (moi - so what can I say .. I love what I do and I’m getting pretty good at it to).
Blindfold Yoga and Yoga Nidra are Pratyahara practices (a withdrawal of the senses from illusion to allow focus on the path to peace) and have become popular worldwide over recent years for good reason.
Pratyahara practices lead to a profound state of relaxation, expanded self-awareness, and inner stability. They help us master both the body and the mind.
When you remove the use of the most dominant sense organ of sight in Blindfold Yoga, your other senses heighten naturally. This allows you to get curious and look deeply within to observe your habitual patterns within your practice to what is and isn’t best serving you. You will get physically stronger and you have a window into your deeper, inner-most thoughts.
The Blindfold Yoga will segway into a Yoga Nidra for Transmutation and Awakening. Yoga Nidra is a systematic form of guided meditation and relaxation to clear the path. To remind and reinforce internal tools to ride the waves of life with intention and attention. Grace and ease. To release stress, build new pathways in the brain and strengthen the immune system. To know how to access peace whatever life brings.

About Kate McLeay:
Kate is a former primary and early childhood school teacher, International School Principal and Humanitarian Worker who now spends her time sharing her passion for peace and wellbeing. She is a highly qualified Yoga Teacher who has trained and assisted Donna Farhi (Author of the Breathing Book). She is also a Mindfulness Facilitator, Massage Therapist, certified Yoga Nidra Teacher and Sleep Science Coach. Kate leads classes, events, retreats and corporate training in Hawkes Bay and beyond.
About Sarah Beale:
Sarah is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga teacher, teaching Ashtanga, Yin and Vinyasa styles of yoga. She has also begun teaching Pregnancy yoga after training with Dr Pooja Maddela in Auckland.
Sarah intuitively teaches based on the experience she has felt within herself. Sarah is dedicated to self-inquiry and personal/spiritual growth, always learning something new which she loves to share. She teaches with compassion, warmth and humour, adapting each class, no matter what the style, to the students who are present in the room.
Sarah is also a Reiki practitioner and Essential Oil Educator, passionate about Ayurveda, Herbal remedies, Aromatherapy and anything which assists the body to heal itself
Sarah and her partner Alex moved from Auckland to Napier in January 2017 to pursue a more relaxed way to live and they now own and manage the Wellness Sanctuary on Main Street, Napier.
